About Me

With over 15 years experience supporting High School, College and University students in their post-secondary and career planning Josie believes in meeting clients where they are at and challenging them to step out of their comfort zone. As a mother of three, Josie understands a parent’s perspective on navigating the systems and structures of the educational system. With a focus on empowering young people to take control of their plans, Josie works with parents and students to foster the confidence it takes to feel good about the next steps.

We first met Josie when my son was in Grade 11. He was little lost and needed help in getting a better understanding of college and University Options. At the time, my son had no direction and very little interest in the process. Josie’s temperament allowed my son to open up and empower him to make decisions. She is extremely well versed in both the College and University route as well as the pros and cons of taking a gap year. She was able to set a clear path and list of tasks for my son to follow, while giving him the responsibility of making the step by step decisions he needed to make in a non intimidating way. Josie also took our (the parents) input in to consideration and made sure she was setting everyone up for success. I would highly recommend using Josie for any academic guidance. She was a huge part in eliminating stress in our son's and our lives.
When our son was in grade 11 and beginning to think about his University education, we needed guidance as to the program that was best suited for him. Would he go away or stay home? Would he go into Business or Sciences? We met Josie in the Spring of 2018 and are so grateful for that. She gave Liam confidence and comfort in his decision to go away for school and he is excelling in a business program. Josie was also extremely helpful in the application process which undoubtedly would have been very overwhelming without her. Josie is kind, warm and very knowledgeable.
